Windstar.... 50 years of Inspiration! How it expanded, What has been preserved, What has changed, and What does the Future hold????
Join us for an inspiring celebration of the remarkable legacy of Windstar - 50 years since its founding, and 40 years since the first Choices for the Future symposium. Hear first-hand reflections from special guests John Katzenburger (Aspen Global Change Institute) and special video presentation from John St. Augustine (renown radio host). Both will share their experiences and insights about Windstar and Choices and the enduring relevance for our world today. Don't miss this unique opportunity to celebrate the people and ideas that shaped a movement.
John Denver and Tom Crum created the Windstar Foundation in 1976 and soon purchased approximately 1,000 acres in Old Snowmass that would serve as the hub for many creative and innovative ideas and activities.
Beginning in 1986, Windstar also sponsored 10 years of Choices for the Future symposiums, which featured numerous guest speakers on environmental and humanitarian efforts. Choices ran for 10 years and still stands as one of Windstar's greatest creations.
